The High Velocity Ditch Check is a replacement for rock, wattle or fabric check dams / ditch checks. It is designed as a temporary barrier to slow the velocity of concentrated stormwater and facilitate controlled release through the fabric onto the rear scour guard.

The video below was taken during the 2024 C4 Contractor Construction Compliance Conference – Stillwater Oklahoma. The demonstration was held at the USDA-ARS Agroclimate and Hydraulics Engineering Research Unit also located in Stillwater Oklahoma.

Silt Saver thanks all those involved in making the conference a success.

The event’s ditch check demonstration was for demonstration purposes only, not an official testing for the many products installed in the ditch.

We believe that this demonstration provides an ambitious illustration of the structural integrity of this device in the face of extreme channel flow.

This video concentrates only on the performance of the Silt Saver HVDC during the demonstration and when the limits were raised to extreme conditions.
