The Silt Saver Silt Fence Outlet is a sediment barrier outlet designed to work with your perimeter protection to retain sediment and provide controlled stormwater release, thus preventing catastrophic silt fence failure if stormwater is trapped behind the fence. This prefabricated product is created to replace bulky hardware cloth and gravel. It is easily installed and removed without heavy machinery, is durable, and requires minimal maintenance. It is a multicomponent system with each piece contributing to the performance of the system. The 2 Stage outlet offers a dual purpose design with Stage 1 for greater sediment retention (non-woven filter fabric, closest to the ground) and Stage 2 for controlled stormwater release and filtration (high visibility, high flow green mesh providing > 1100gpm/ft2). Pine chip filled compression tubes held in place with compression stakes prevent undermining. Attached front water seal and rear scour guard prevents scouring that also leads to undermining. The Silt Saver Low Profile Frame and Filter Assemblies are a non-sump condition inlet protection device designed to prevent sediment and trash from entering the inlets of a stormwater system. They are made up of a durable, reusable polyethylene frame with a replaceable filter. The Low-Profile Frame and Filter assemblies are offered with a high flow filter only. The filter has a high visibility green mesh top with >1100 gpm/ft2 clear water flow and is surrounded at its base by bags for rock or stone to provide weight, securing the device in place. The filter base contours to the surrounding surface, reducing the chances of undermining. The rock bags impound approximately 8 inches of stormwater. The entire device is quickly and easily installed by placing the frame over the inlet, covering the frame with the filter, and filling the bags around the base with rock or stone. The Bottom Drain Attachment is designed to work in conjunction with the Silt Saver R100A-DOT drop inlet protection frame and filter to create an enclosed storm water filter system in which storm water passes through the Silt Saver frame and filter for sediment retention, and is then released as clean water for piping off site. The device is made to be placed between the Silt Saver R100A DOT frame and 12-inch HDPE piping for water collection. It is Sourced and made in America.
The SS 300 Curb Inlet Filter is made to prevent the migration of sediment into the storm drain system at curbs while allowing for stormwater flow to prevent hazardous ponding on streets and roadways. The device has a durable high visibility green mesh casing for good visibility in roadways. The center is filled with biodegradable pine straw allowing for filtration and water flow, resisting molding and compaction. On each end there is a pocket to accommodate sand bags or stone creating weight to keep the filter in place. The weighted ends also allow for the creation of a 3 – 9 inch weir for stormwater release as needed to prevent the accumulation of water in streets. This device is flexible, light weight for shipping, hauling and installation, and contains no rubber or sharp wire that can be harmful to installers or enter stormwater drains as an environmental hazard. It is 9 inches in diameter with a 5 foot pine straw filled center and weight pockets of 1 foot each for a total of 7 feet in length. A single filter can be used for a 5 foot inlet but multiple devices are recommended for larger openings. It is sold as a kit including the SS 300 curb inlet filter filled with pine straw, 2 sand bag inserts and zip ties (stone / sand not included). Sourced and made in America.
