Catch Basins are an integral part of stormwater control and drainage systems. The purpose of a catch basin is to catch debris and release stormwater from a parking lot, street, highway, or landscaping area. During project site construction, sediment, pollutants, and trash must be prevented from entering the surrounding streams and wetlands, which feed into our watersheds. Inlet protection frames and filters, also known as rigid inlet protection, are designed to be a temporary sediment control device during land disturbing construction activities. Inlet protection frames and filters are a performance-based, cost effective replacement for drop inlet filtration BMP methods such as: silt fence boxes or rock and wire inlet protection.
- Patent # US 11,708,690The Silt Saver Frame and Filter Assembly is a drop inlet protection device designed to prevent sediment and trash from entering the inlets of a stormwater system. It is made of a durable, reusable polyethylene frame with a replaceable filter. Filters are available in two options. Both filter options have high visibility green mesh tops that will mark the location of inlets and allow for >1000gpm/ft2 stormwater overflow. The base of the filters has integrated bags for rock or stone to provide weight, securing the device in place. The rock bags contour to the surrounding surface reducing the chances of undermining. The entire device is quickly and easily installed by placing the frame over the inlet, covering the frame with the filter, and filling the bags around the base with rock or stone. Installation takes minutes and requires no machinery. The device provides consistent protection of your drain with minimal maintenance. This durable device replaces the traditional silt fence box that has historically been installed around drop inlets, inevitably failing, and requiring replacement many times during construction. Sourced and made in America. The Frame and Filter are sold as an assembly of one frame with a choice of 3 filter options.
- Patent # US 11,708,690The Silt Saver A1200 Frame and Filter Assembly is designed for small drains, such as yard inlets, golf course drains, landscape drains, beehive drains, and drywells that are 30” or less to prevent sediment and trash from entering a stormwater system. The A1200 is made of a durable, reusable polyethylene frame with a replaceable filter. The filter top is composed of high visibility green mesh with >1100 gpm/ft2 clear water flow. The base of the filter has integrated bags for rock or stone to provide weight, securing the device in place. The filter base contours to the surrounding surface, whether it is raw dirt, crush run asphalt or concrete, reducing the chances of undermining. The entire device is quickly and easily installed by placing the frame over the drain, covering the frame with the filter, and filling the bags around the base with rock or sand. Installation takes minutes and requires no machinery. The device provides consistent protection of your drain with minimal maintenance. Sourced and made in America. The Frame and Filter are sold as an assembly of one frame with a choice of filter.

- Patent # US 11,708,690The Silt Saver Low Profile Frame and Filter Assemblies are a non-sump condition inlet protection device designed to prevent sediment and trash from entering the inlets of a stormwater system. They are made up of a durable, reusable polyethylene frame with a replaceable filter. The Low-Profile Frame and Filter assemblies are offered with a high flow filter only. The filter has a high visibility green mesh top with >1100 gpm/ft2 clear water flow and is surrounded at its base by bags for rock or stone to provide weight, securing the device in place. The filter base contours to the surrounding surface, reducing the chances of undermining. The rock bags impound approximately 8 inches of stormwater. The entire device is quickly and easily installed by placing the frame over the inlet, covering the frame with the filter, and filling the bags around the base with rock or stone. Installation takes minutes and requires no machinery. The device provides consistent protection of your inlet with minimal maintenance. Sourced and made in America. The Frame and Filter are sold as an assembly of one frame with a replaceable High Flow Filter.
- The Bottom Drain Attachment is designed to work in conjunction with the Silt Saver R100A-DOT drop inlet protection frame and filter to create an enclosed storm water filter system in which storm water passes through the Silt Saver frame and filter for sediment retention, and is then released as clean water for piping off site. The device is made to be placed between the Silt Saver R100A DOT frame and 12-inch HDPE piping for water collection. It is Sourced and made in America.
- The SS 300 Curb Inlet Filter is made to prevent the migration of sediment into the storm drain system at curbs while allowing for stormwater flow to prevent hazardous ponding on streets and roadways. The device has a durable high visibility green mesh casing for good visibility in roadways. The center is filled with biodegradable pine straw allowing for filtration and water flow, resisting molding and compaction. On each end there is a pocket to accommodate sand bags or stone creating weight to keep the filter in place. The weighted ends also allow for the creation of a 3 – 9 inch weir for stormwater release as needed to prevent the accumulation of water in streets. This device is flexible, light weight for shipping, hauling and installation, and contains no rubber or sharp wire that can be harmful to installers or enter stormwater drains as an environmental hazard. It is 9 inches in diameter with a 5 foot pine straw filled center and weight pockets of 1 foot each for a total of 7 feet in length. A single filter can be used for a 5 foot inlet but multiple devices are recommended for larger openings. It is sold as a kit including the SS 300 curb inlet filter filled with pine straw, 2 sand bag inserts and zip ties (stone / sand not included). Sourced and made in America.
- The Pedestal Inlet Wrap is a device to keep sediment, grass clippings and trash from entering pedestal top inlets and the storm drains below. This flexible layer of high flow mesh provides filtration without restricting the stormwater flow. It can be easily installed in minutes by wrapping the device around the round or square pedestal top inlet and securing with the belts and “D” ring attachments. The device is 22 inches tall and 17 feet long to accommodate most pedestal top inlets easily. It is durable, lightweight and reusable. Sourced and made in America.
